Christmas around the world...
Christmas in Greenland.Traditional presents are model sledges, a pairs of polished walrus tusks, or sealskin mitts. Everyone in the village gets a gift and children go from hut to hut, singing songs. On Christmas Eve, Church Services are held and most people go to them. Some men wear the white anoraks which are worn on special occasios. Christmas Trees have to be imported, because no trees grow as far north as Greenland. St Lucia's day (December 13th) is also celebrated in Greenland.Trees are traditionally decorated on the evening of 23rd December.
I choose theese countries because they are intresting and I do not know something about Greenland and Zimbabwe!

Christmas around the world...
Christmas in Zimbabwe. Christmas day starts with a Church service. Everyone wears their best clothes for Christmas. Children in Zimbabwe believe that Santa Claus brings them there presents early on Christmas Day. Some Zimbabweans have a traditional 'European' Christmas Tree but they decorate the room with plants like Ivy. The special food eaten at Christmas in Zimbabwe is Chicken with rice.
